The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.
The goals of Rotaract are:
1. To develop professional and leadership skills
2. To emphasize respect for the rights of others, and to promote ethical standards and the dignity of all useful occupations
3. To provide opportunities for young people to address the needs and concerns of the community and our world
4. To provide opportunities for working in cooperation with sponsoring Rotary clubs
5. To motivate young people for eventual membership in Rotary.
Keeping this in mind Rotaract Club of Calcutta welcomes applications from individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who are interested in community service, international service or professional development. Mapped within these specifics, we are also keen to accept membership applications from students and Interactors.
Membership Benefits:
a) Join the regular club meetings.
b) Get the exclusive and honorary privilege to write the initial “Rtr” before your name while associating your name with any Rotaract related activity.
b) Actively take part in the club’s community based activities.
c) Actively take part in the club’s international services, including meeting international delegates.
d) Join Rotary meetings where Rotaracters are invited.
e) Join joint meetings with another Rotaract / Rotary club or the sponsoring Rotary Club.
f) Become of part of the worldwide Rotaract movement and meet Rotaracts from across the globe.
e) Expand your friends circle by making friendship with like-minded people.
f) Have fun by joining the cultural activities organised by your club and by different Rotaract clubs across the globe.
g) Develop leadership abilities.
h) Feel at home when visiting another part of the country / globe as you are a friend to the Rotaract club of that area.
i) Become strongly eligible to be a part of the much broader Rotary movement by joining age old Rotary Club of Calcutta when you turn 30.

Membership Fees:
Joining Fee (Payble only at the time of joining): Rs.50/-
Yearly Membership Fee: Rs.2000/- for employed / professionals and Rs.480/- for students / unemployed.
